Junior sailing this summer

Starting on Saturday 10th May we have some great sailing sessions for all our junior sailors.

Onboard - Adventures Afloat!

A great way to improve your sailing, gain confidence and make new friends. Our OnBoard activities are all about fun and games on the water, with the aim being to build your skills while you enjoy being afloat. These sessions will run from 1pm until 3pm with a short break midway for snacks and a drink. Suitable for any sailor beyond complete novice. Parents or guardians are expected to stay and help with rigging and launching. These sessions are free for members although you still need to book your place. Boats can be hired at the usual rates.

Junior race training

Perfect for any young sailor wishing to start club racing or join the local circuit. These sessions will provide structured coaching across a broad range of racing skills, from how to get a better start, setting your boat up for speed, and basic tactics, through to simplified racing rules and race course strategy. To take part your youngster must have some basic sailing skills including being able to recover from capsize, rig and launch with minimal assistance. These sessions will run from 1pm until 4.30pm. These sessions are free for members although you still need to book your place. Boats can be hired at the usual rates.
