When can I sail?
We offer a range of opportunities for you get afloat
The club has no set opening times and this years code for the combination locks on the road gates is printed on your joining or renewal letter. A key for both changing rooms can be obtained from the Galley with a deposit of £10.
Members can sail at any time at their own risk; however, we strongly recommend only sailing with at least one other boat on the water, or a buddy on the shore. We have a WhatsApp Buddy sail group to facilitate this.
Sailing with safety boat cover is available at the following times/dates:
Sundays
Racing takes place almost every Sunday and you are welcome to either join in or sail for fun provided you avoid the race area. If in doubt ask the committee member on duty.
Saturdays
From spring to autumn the club is open on Saturday afternoons for recreational sailing, and there is usually some form of activity taking place in the mornings too. Currently we are holding Saturday morning sailing sessions for improvers.
Tuesdays
On Tuesday mornings the club runs Women on the Water, a casual sailing session for our female members with instructors available for those who want to improve their skills, and safety cover for those who want to sail for fun. From May to October the club is also open in the evening for those who want to cruise.
Wednesdays
From April to September the club is open in the evenings for Twilight series racing and those who want to cruise.
