Summer Learn to Sail 2025

Four days of sailing tuition that will set you up to enjoy a full summer afloat. 

We will be delivering the following RYA courses:

  • RYA Stages 1 and 2: suitable for beginners aged 8 and upwards
  • RYA Level 1 Start Sailing: suitable for beginners aged 14 and upwards, including adults

Prices include use of club boats, club buoyancy aid, logbook and certificate.

Learn to sail: RYA Stages 1 and 2 member only

For beginners aged 8 and upwards these courses will teach youngsters to rig and launch with assistance, sail with supervision from a safety boat and all the basics they need to then join activities like Boat Camp and OnBoard.

Again for those aged 14 and upwards this course builds on Level 1 and takes you to a standard where you should be able to confidently sail on all points of sail in a single person dinghy. It also provides important knowledge such as weather, tides and how a sail works.

For beginners aged 14 and upwards, including adults, this course should take you from complete novice to having a good grasp of the basics, able to sail a boat around a simple course with minimum supervision from your instructor.
